Marathon Liquid Skin Protectant is a non-cytotoxic cyanoacrylate-based monomer that forms a remarkably strong protective layer over skin. It is designed to act as a barrier against moisture (e.g. body fluids, humidity) and friction, yet it allows the skin to breathe and does not sting. Marathon reacts with the moisture and skin surface to create a strong film directly bonded to the skin that is thicker and more durable than most liquid skin protectants. Marathon is long lasting and stays on the skin until the dead cells shed off naturally over 1-3 days.

• Marathon no sting cyanoacrylate skin protectant helps guard against adhesives, friction, and moisture; such as urine, exudate, sweat and other bodily fluids; that can cause maceration.
• Robust, flexible and long-lasting formula is fast drying, durable and breathable.
• Barrier bonds directly to the skin for gapless protection and lasts over 1-3 days depending on skin type or condition and the activity level.
• It can be used on intact or damaged skin, fragile skin, periwound skin and peristomal skin.

  • Contraindications:
    • Deep, open, bleeding, or chronic wounds.
    • Second or third degree burns.
    • Infected areas.
• Size and Packaging:
  • 0.5 mL.: 10 applicators per box.
  • 0.5 mL.: 5 applicators per box.
  • 1.5 g.: 5 applicators with a wide sponge tip per box. Marathon XL covers greater than 8" x 10" per application and is recommended for protecting larger areas of skin, such as large periwound areas, large peristomal areas, incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD).
