Medline OptiLock Nonadhesive Super Absorbent Wound Dressings in Educational Packaging

An efficient and versatile medical-grade dressing designed to stand up against excessive drainage in the comforts of home. Medline OptiLock Nonadhesive Super Absorbent Wound Dressings have a polymer core that soaks up and retains high volumes of wound drainage during the healing process. When the dressing comes into contact with wound fluid it transforms to a gel and is absorbed in the core, away from the wound and fragile surrounding skin. Use as a primary or secondary dressing to provide the optimal moist wound healing environment.

  • Absorbs - Super absorbent polymer core handle large quantities of fluid and minimal drainage while delivering optimal performance. Gently and efficiently absorbs on even the most heavily draining wounds.
  • Locks - Protects skin from maceration that prevents the skin from healing properly. Would fluid is transformed into a gel and locked away from the wound.
  • Gentle - Nonadherent wound contact layer won't stick to skin and gently releases from the wound during dressing changes, helping to prevent damage to fragile skin.
  • Protects - Protective backing helps protect clothing and bedding from strikethrough during the healing process.
  • Versatile - Use as a primary dressing for pressure ulcers, 1st or 2nd degree wounds, lacerations, and abrasions, or as a secondary dressing for full-thickness wounds that need an extra layer of protection.
    • Indications: pressure injuries, partial and full-thickness wounds, leg ulcers, lacerations and abrasions and wounds under compression
    • Contraindications: third-degree burns, known sensitivity to the product itself or its components, do not use on nonexudating or minimally exudating wounds
