Medline OptiView Transparent Dressing with HydroCore Technology
Pressure injury prevention has never been so clear. The Transparent HydroCore island dressing takes the guesswork out of skin assessments, leading to less dressing changes and longer wear time. OptiView clear dressings with waterproof backing are designed to be used as part of a pressure injury prevention protocol and is ideal to reduce pressure over intact skin to help maintain the skin integrity. The clear visibility extends wear time and eliminates lift-and-check, meaning less time changing dressings and more time focusing on patient care.
- Transparency Simplifies Skin Checks - Clear visibility extends wear time up to 7 days and saves nursing time. HydroCore clear island allows for visibility to skin to assess for pressure injuries without lifting the dressing, reducing amount of dressing changes and risk of MARSI (medical adhesive related skin injury) from repetitive removal of adhesive dressing.
- Manage Microclimate - HydroCore Technology draws heat away from skin, helping to create a cooling effect. Traps less thermal heat on the skin's surface than foam dressings, reducing the risk of skin breakdown that can cause pressure injuries (PIs).
- Presure Redistribution - Optiview functions like a foam dressing and allows caregivers to follow best practice guidelines. HydroCore center cushions and helps protect underlying skin. For intact skin, OptiView reduces shear as well as five-layer foam dressings.
- Redistributes pressure against bony prominences (sacrum, hip, elbows, shoulders). OptiView reduces peak pressure by as much as 62%.
