What are cleanroom supplies?

What are ISO standards for cleanrooms?

At the fundamental level, ISO classifies cleanrooms according to the number of airborne particles. But the ISO also has standards to assist cleanroom operators in enacting best practices. Experts internationally agree upon ISO standards, and the federal government mandates cleanrooms to follow ISO standards. The ISO governs the following in regards to cleanrooms:

Quality management
Energy management
Environmental management
Food safety
IT security
Health and Safety

The above ISO standards assist cleanroom operators in managing the number of airborne particulates in their critical environment.

Why are some cleanrooms labelled Class 10,000?

Until September 11, 1992, federal regulations set the standards for cleanliness in cleanrooms. FED-STD-209 was a notice that the federal standards would be canceled and superseded by ISO Standards.

In the United States, ISO standards regulate the classification of air cleanliness in cleanrooms. The standard of measure used is airborne particles.
